Success Stories
Every acceptance letter has a story behind it.
In their own words — students who walked the road from shortlist to acceptance with CollegeCore.
I went into the application process thinking I might want to explore Law — but somewhere along the way, I realised that what I was actually drawn to was Biomedical Engineering. That shift felt exciting, but also a little overwhelming, especially while trying to keep up with deadlines, essays, and everything else.
Working with CollegeCore really helped me make sense of that transition. Instead of pushing me in a fixed direction, they gave me the space to figure things out, while also helping me structure my thoughts so everything started to feel clearer. My essays, in particular, felt a lot more like me — just more focused and intentional. The same went for interviews — I felt prepared, but not scripted.
What stood out the most was how personal the whole experience felt. It never felt transactional. I always felt supported, especially during moments where I was second-guessing myself or struggling to prioritise.
I’m really grateful for the guidance through it all — especially as I head to Johns Hopkins University, with offers also from Imperial College London and UCL.
I came into this process with strong scores and a long activity list, but no real sense of how it all connected — the CollegeCore team changed that.
What I valued most was how they held all the logistics for me: every deadline, every form, every school-specific requirement. With IB, internships, and MUN all competing for my time, that hand-holding meant I could focus on actually doing well in school instead of drowning in admin.
The real turning point was when they looked past my activity list and helped me see the thread connecting it all — a curiosity about data and behaviour that ran through my internships, my research, even my sustainability work. That reframe changed how I wrote about myself in every application.
I’d recommend CollegeCore to any student who has “enough” on paper but doesn’t know how to make it cohere.
What we liked most was how structured and supportive the entire process was, which made it feel calm and manageable. The team’s expertise, personal involvement, accessibility, and honest feedback helped us make informed decisions and guided Arav in building a strong, authentic profile aligned with his goals. Our wow moment was the day we read Arav’s final resume and profile — it was overwhelming to see how much he had grown and achieved since starting the process, and truly satisfying to see his progression and how thoughtfully everything reflected who he is. The entire experience pushed Arav to really reflect on himself, understand his strengths, and gain clarity on his goals, priorities, and what he truly wanted from his college experience.
I loved how CollegeCore guided me to build a personalized, major-specific extracurricular list — one that gave me unique experiences while staying closely tied to my academics. Looking back at all the hard work — the completed essays, the extracurriculars, the finished applications — was a wow moment in itself. It felt daunting at the start, but with the effort I put in and the support I received, the whole experience became something truly memorable. Unique activities CollegeCore pushed me toward, like the John Locke Essay Competition, an internship at the National Museum, and the PPE programme in Singapore, all helped me grow and step out of my comfort zone.
What stood out most was how organized everything was — even just looking at the schedule and deadlines laid out clearly on the website made the process feel manageable. Through it, I started becoming independent and doing things on my own.
CollegeCore expanded Hriday’s perspective in a way that truly mattered — introducing us to colleges we hadn’t even considered, ones that aligned far better with his academic interests and long-term goals. The real wow for us was watching his essays, academic interests, and extracurriculars come together with such clarity and differentiation. As a parent, the process pushed a meaningful shift in me too — from trying to control both the path and the outcome, to stepping back and enabling the journey with trust and confidence. We could not have asked for a better process than the one you delivered, especially given that we started quite late. Despite the time constraints, everything was handled with clarity, structure, and a strong sense of direction.
The essay editing was excellent, and the counsellors were reachable at all times — no matter the day or time, I could always reach my counsellor, and that meant everything during such a stressful process. Beyond the applications, I grew personally too, improving both academically and through activities like community service.
I loved how easygoing and communicative the team was. They helped me reach for things I once thought were out of my range — the response times were fast, and I was genuinely astonished by the quality of work I received. During our very first meeting, I came in nervous and unsure of myself, but the whole team reassured me that my hard work wouldn’t go to waste and that they’d be there to support me through everything that followed — and they were. All the credit to the team, especially my counsellor, who guided and supported me throughout this entire process. Writing college essays, especially around such thought-provoking questions, helped me develop a new skill and understand myself better. Honestly, there’s nothing I’d change.
What I appreciated most about my experience with CollegeCore was how personalized and strategic the guidance felt. Instead of just focusing on applications, my counsellors helped me understand how to position my profile authentically and highlight my strengths cohesively — from refining my college list to shaping my essays and extracurricular narrative. The support was structured yet flexible, and I felt guided at every step, which made an overwhelming process feel manageable. My wow moment came when I saw my final essays come together after multiple rounds of brainstorming and revisions — what started as scattered ideas turned into a clear, compelling narrative that truly reflected who I am. That transformation made me realize how powerful storytelling is in the admissions process, and it’s when I felt confident my application genuinely represented me at my best. Beyond the applications themselves, this process pushed me to reflect deeply on my experiences, motivations, and long-term goals, and taught me to think critically and manage my time far better.
We are highly satisfied with CollegeCore. They paid full attention to our son’s progress and guided him through the process in a systematic, well-planned manner — from profile building to introducing him to the right programs. We’ve had a wonderful experience and are truly grateful for how they guided Shaurya over these four years. Every small achievement made us proud, but the day we got his early decision result from USC was the moment for us — and sharing that joy with our counsellors felt like sharing it with close family. As parents, you’re often confused and stressed about how to navigate higher education planning, and since US universities look for overall development, CollegeCore’s guidance helped us understand the process better and plan things systematically. We’ve genuinely benefited from this journey.
My experience with CollegeCore was personalized and structured. They took the time to understand my child’s strengths and interests, and the consistent mentoring with clear timelines really helped us stay on track and achieve our goals. Getting into the college of her choice was, without question, our biggest moment — and beyond the admission itself, CollegeCore helped my daughter become more self-aware and confident along the way.
What I liked most was the clarity of instructions and the well-structured timetables — they made it easy for me to stay on track and complete everything efficiently. What really wowed me was the support and availability; the counsellors were there every step of the way. Through this process, I developed greater self-confidence and the ability to handle tasks more independently.
