The people charting the course
Urvashi Malik
CollegeCore is headed by Urvashi Malik, Founder & Managing Director with over twenty-one years of experience in guiding and aiding students. As founder and lead counselor, she brings her invaluable experience when guiding students and leading a team of Associates to work one on one with students.
As College Advisor at Vasant Valley School she has an in-depth understanding of systems from both the perspective of the school and of the student.
Disha Malik
Disha is a Director at CollegeCore. An Economics and English Literature graduate from the University of Chicago (Class of 2012) and an MBA from the Booth School of Business (Class of 2018). Having been through the application process herself, Disha brings a first-hand perspective to the process. She applied to the US, UK, Canada and Singapore and received numerous scholarships.
Nikita Malik
Nikita is a double major in Economics and Math from The Ohio State University. Driven by a passion for sustainability, she founded her own lifestyle brand to raise awareness about climate change and its impact. That entrepreneurial experience — building something from the ground up — shaped her understanding of innovation and leadership, which she now brings to her work with students, helping them identify their strengths and interests and translate them into standout profiles.
Smita Bajaj
Smita leads the Editorial Team at CollegeCore. As an experienced writer and editor with a background as Travel Editor at Dorling Kindersley, Freelance Editor at Random House and Correspondent at Times of India, Smita’s vast experience with the written word plays a big role leading our team of in-house editors and working with students in the essay writing process.
Geetika Gupta
Geetika holds a postgraduate degree in Clinical & Organisational Behaviour Psychology and brings 12+ years of experience in Marketing & Communications with leading organizations across the country, including heading corporate marketing for the ITC Group. That background gives her a sharp understanding of how to present a profile — and she helps students enhance their own profiles and digital footprints, while building unique, well-rounded narratives that showcase their talents in innovative ways.
Sonu Kohli
Sonu holds a Bachelor of Arts from Delhi University and brings 10 years of experience as an educator. With an in-depth understanding of tech competitions and profiles, she helps students develop their passions and interests through individualised plans built around their unique strengths.
